As sayings go, “the best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today” is far from familiar to us. Strange as the saying may be, it’s so intelligible that no one fails to see the point that if we are meant to have a promising future, all we need do is simply focus on our work at present.

First of all, in no way can we deny that when we prepare for the future, we need to set a clear goal now, without which we are just a lost ship stranded in the middle of nowhere in the sea. It can be aptly exemplified by the fact that though some students throw themselves all into study, they don’t make satisfactory progress for they don’t aim clearly. Furthermore, it’s no exaggeration to say that the future is overwhelmingly based on and decided by the present as the future is a tall building that must be built on a firm foundation. A case in point is that we can never score high in the coming CET6 if we fail to make enough exertions now, however lucky we are.

To sum up, we shall never take it for granted that there is always a bright future waiting ahead for us. Only if we grasp the simple but profound saying can we turn it into practice, with which we can seize a better chance in the future.
